The composer works on his first Symphony for Concertband. Aside from that he is composing “Accidentally dancing”, which is going to be performend in Japan 04/2026.

In addition to that, Dirk Mattes is in charge with the education of conductors for the Bundesakademie für musikalische Jugendbildung Trossingen and also keeps track on his purposes as Verbandsdirigent of the Musikverband Untermain.

Online-courses

In cooperation with the VMB-NRW Mattes has developped an education programm for conductors. At that point more than 100 – prospective and sophisticated conductors as well – benefited from this offer. The programm includes four courses of 4-6 weeks with 2h on a week. You can book a course also seperately.

Honour

The City of Alzenau honoured the Musician for his work with the “Ehrennadel der Stadt Alzenau”.
